Fruits of the Spring

A beauty I don’t possess
Too disgusting for my age
A fool’s funny recollection
Quite humorous but queer
O, this gentle heart is lost!

The scene is sickening
A fever no herb can cure
It is indeed a good fortune
For you, I have no name
God will never let us meet
Forever I will be grateful
Such ridiculous clandestine
Soon will be forgotten
Like all fading springs

Dare not taste its fruits
It is never poisonous
Beware of its sweetness
Let the heat go by
Don’t be so naive–
Today is just another day
